Implementation, Collaboration, and CQI...Oh My

SESSION INFO

Monday, March 11, 2019
11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Session Type: Workshop

This workshop will focus on implementing evidence-based practices with fidelity, integrity, and continued quality improvement. As the recipient of a Smart Supervision Grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Maricopa County Adult Probation Department successfully expanded its implementation of Thinking for a Change (T4C), collaborated with external treatment providers, utilized Medicaid to pay for services, and, importantly, has sustained its achievements after the cessation of the grant funding. During this workshop you will hear about this successful grant-funded project, the evaluation results, and the impact the project has had on probation outcomes and recidivism rates. We will discuss implementation challenges and the strategies used to overcome them. Key challenges include getting stakeholder buy-in across all participating agencies, generating probation officer referrals, and sustaining funding. Using T4C methods, participants will have the opportunity to brainstorm implementation barriers and solutions for their own jurisdictions.
