SESSION INFO

Tuesday, August 20, 2019
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Session Type: Workshop

The victim/hostage mindset can be quite difficult for people to understand, as a complicated process occurs to create a pseudo personality and protect the perpetrator. This useful presentation will provide information on different types and characteristics of perpetrators, the techniques and tools they use, and the beliefs they hold that contribute to trauma creation. The objective of this training session is to provide clear and concise steps to better help professionals who work with both perpetrators and victims so that they are more knowledgeable and better able to work with both populations. Time will be given at the end of workshop for a question and answer session, which should prove to be stimulating.
