The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Stories of Trailblazers in Women's Leadership

SESSION INFO

Monday, March 11, 2019
4:15 pm - 5:45 pm
Session Type: Workshop

This program provides lessons from the perspective of women in leadership positions as they reflect on how they advanced in their careers and rose through the ranks of an organization. Participants will hear about the journeys each of these leaders has traveled to achieve a position of leadership today. Each woman’s story is a chronicle of her leadership development, management style, and personal experiences in negotiating and growing with an evolving, changing workplace. Learning about these different perspectives on career development will contribute to our personal and collective knowledge, and the insights accrued can potentially benefit many other women working both in and outside the community corrections field. This workshop is sponsored by the APPA Committee for Justice-Involved Women and Girls and the Association of Women Executives in Corrections (AWEC).
