Community corrections professionals and defense attorneys often approach each other with mutual suspicion, if not outright distrust, during violation and revocation proceedings. This workshop will discuss the importance of transparency and open, forthright communication between officers and attorneys to achieve common goals of fair and swift justice for alleged violators. It will also explore how networking can promote trust and improve decision-making to enhance public safety and minimize collateral consequences.
