Becoming an UpStander…Don't Just Stand There!

SESSION INFO

Wednesday, August 1, 2018
10:00 AM - 10:45 AM
Session Type: Workshop

How often in the past have you seen a situation where things were just not right, yet you decided to look the other way, only to realize later that you should have done something? Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for individuals to be in a setting where they witness or suspect power-based personal violence but take a bystander’s role instead of taking any action. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will become more adept at recognizing power-based personal violence situations and how to intervene safely in such circumstances--becoming a UpStander!
