SESSION INFO

Sunday, March 10, 2019
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Session Type: Intensive

This one-day training event, split into sections 1 and 2, is designed to provide specialized training and technical assistance to improve the capacity of community corrections personnel to identify individuals on community supervision who have been victimized by Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and to assure that officers are using trauma-informed approaches to supervision that will protect the supervisee’s safety yet still hold him/her accountable for his/her crime. Using an effective blended-training curriculum of online course work and classroom instruction, participants will have an opportunity to greatly advance their mastery of these important skills. Upon completion, probation/parole officers and other community corrections personnel will be much better equipped to address the needs of this population.
