SESSION INFO

Tuesday, August 20, 2019
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Session Type: Workshop

This program presents lessons from the viewpoint of women leaders with successful careers who have risen through the ranks of an organization. Participants will hear different perspectives, with each presenter sharing her thoughts on the journey she had to travel to get to a position of leadership today. Each career-spanning story is a chronicle of leadership development, leadership style, and individual and system change process. Taken, such experiences convey personal and collective knowledge with a broad application for others working in the community corrections field today as well as outside the field of corrections. This workshop is sponsored by the APPA Committee for Justice-Involved Women and Girls and the Association of Women Executives in Corrections (AWEC).
