CFTs For Probation Families: Overcoming the Obstacles

SESSION INFO

Monday, August 19, 2019
4:15 PM - 5:15 PM
Session Type: Workshop

Child and Family Team Meetings (CFTs) can be an invaluable resource for any department. However, obstacles and complications can arise that can prevent CFTs from being productive. This workshop attempts to identify and discuss such obstacles, especially those specific to meetings between probation youth, their families, and the departments. As part of this process, participants will be asked to discuss their own personal and/or departmental experiences with CFTs, but attendance in this session is strongly encouraged whether the participants have had previous experience participating in such meetings. The goal of this workshop is to create a dialogue and share ideas that can enhance everyone’s experience with CFTs moving forward.
