Identifying and Responding to Elder Abuse: The Vital Role of Community Corrections Professionals

The Office for Victims of Crime awarded a grant to the American Probation and Parole Association to utilize distance learning technologies to deliver a series of four 90-minute audio teleconferences/webcasts designed to provide community corrections professionals with the knowledge and skills they need in order to appropriately intervene in cases of elder abuse. These programs were adapted from the classroom training, “Identifying and Responding to Elder Abuse: The Vital Role of Community Corrections Professionals.”

The four modules of this curriculum were delivered via live audio teleconferences/webcasts between June and September, 2007. Each broadcast was recorded as it was presented and these recordings, along with handout materials for each program. You may access the recorded broadcasts below.
