Renamed in 2007 to honor the passing of a leader in the field of community justice, Dennis Maloney, the community service project is APPA’s way of giving something back to the community and providing national recognition to some of the wonderful community outreach work being done. Please join us in Myrtle Beach and future training institutes in restoring the community by participating in this truly beneficial project. This year, APPA is collecting money to support the South Carolina Friends of Juvenile Justice. Donations will be accepted at APPA registration.

Friends of Juvenile Justice-Education Fund

South Carolina Friends of Juvenile Justice (SCFJJ), a non-profit foundation, collaborates with individuals and agencies within the public, private and independent sectors to provide resources, attention and care to at-risk and incarcerated youth. SCFJJ serves South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) by providing programs, advocacy, and funding for prevention, rehabilitation and reintegration programs. DJJ and SCFJJ are committed to implementing effective programs that meet the needs of South Carolina’s 270,000 youth. Their goal is to engage young people in ways that will ensure they are never in need of the courts and juvenile justice. Your financial donations will help juveniles involved in the justice system throughout South Carolina with education needs such as backpacks, computer software and tuition expenses. Contributions can be made at the APPA Registration Desk. Thank you!
