Cancellations: Cancellations are not accepted after closing deadline. All cancellations must be received in writing.

Commissions: 15% to agency of record. APPA reserves the right to hold advertiser and/or its advertising agency jointly and severally liable for such monies as are due and payable to APPA.

Contract Cancellation: Contracts may be discontinued by either party upon 30 days’ written notice

Contract Year: Advertising must be inserted within one year of the first insertion to earn frequency discount rates.

Copy Acceptance: The American Probation and Parole Association reserves the right to reject any advertisement which, in the sole judgment of management, is not acceptable. APPA reserves the right to place the word "advertisement" with copy that resembles editorial matter.

Copy Authorization: Advertisers and their agents assume liability for all content of advertisements printed and also assume responsibility for any claims arising therefrom made against APPA and agree to indemnify, defend and save harmless APPA from any and all liability for the content of such advertisements. APPA assumes no liability for error or omission key numbers.

Insertion Orders: Insertion instructions shall be supplied for every advertisement and shall clearly state the following information: name of publication, name of advertiser, date to be inserted, size of advertisement, identification of advertisement (proof of ad to be furnished if possible) plus any special instructions such as bleed, color, etc.

Liability: APPA is not liable for delays in delivery and/or non-delivery in the event of Acts of God, any action by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity, fire, flood, insurrection, riot, explosion, embargo, strikes whether legal or illegal, labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, or any condition beyond the control of APPA affecting production or delivery in any manner.

Premium Positions: Requests for specified position at R.O.P. rates are given consideration but no guarantee is made unless the position premium has been provided for in the contract. APPA reserves the right to give better position than specified in the order, at no increase in rate.

Production Charge: Advertisements ordered set and not used will be charged for composition.

Rate/Condition Acceptance: The forwarding of an order is construed as an acceptance of all the rates and conditions under which advertising is at the time sold.

Short Rates: Advertising placed with a frequency discount and not earned within one year will be subject to short-rate adjustments based on space used within a 12 month period.

Terms: net 30 days receipt of billing. 1-1/2% charge per month on unpaid balance over 30 days.
