Affiliate membership is open to any state, regional or national organization whose membership includes individuals directly involved with the practice of probation, parole or community-based corrections. Affiliate members gain access to the APPA national information network to support their own organization's efforts. The affiliate organization has a voting representative on the Affiliate Committee, as well as the APPA Board of Directors. Therefore the affiliate organization is directly involved with the APPA policy-making process. The benefits of affiliate membership include:
The annual affiliation fee is $250 (U.S. currency) for professional organization. An application for affiliate membership must include the annual dues of $250 (U.S. currency), a copy of the organization's charter and constitution, current list of Board of Directors and/or elected officers, and written mission statement. All affiliation applications are subject to approval by the Affiliate Chair and are contingent upon submission of documentation of the conditions as stipulated in the APPA Constitution and Bylaws and approval by the Board of Directors of APPA. A vote will be taken at the next regularly scheduled board meeting to approve new affiliates. Continued affiliation is based upon an affiliate's timely remittance of the annual affiliation fee.
