Educational institution membership is available to any academy, school, college, university or other educational institution engaged in studying or furthering professional academic practices but not actively involved in providing probation and parole services. By obtaining an educational institution membership in APPA, a department will expose its faculty and students to the latest information in the field of community-based corrections as well as, cultivate another opportunity to disseminate the results of its research.

Faculty and students of educational institution members are eligible to attend and participate in APPA's two annual training institutes and other special training seminars at the reduced member rate. The cost of an educational institution membership is $150 per year.

The benefits of an educational institution membership include:

  • Five copies of Perspectives
  • CC Headlines and More... e-newsletter twice a month
  • One vote (as an institution) in APPA's elections of its governing body
  • The opportunity to submit articles for publication in Perspectives
  • Preference to sponsor local training events
  • Access to the latest information on community-based corrections through APPA's information clearinghouse
