   The Maryland Parole Commission is responsible for granting parole, reviewing requests for warrants for alleged parole violation, recommending executive clemency requests to the Governor, evaluating parolees' performance when on parole and ensuring the victims of crime receive an opportunity for input during the parole process.
   The Maryland Division of Parole and Probation supervises felony and misdemeanant (i.e., ensures compliance with special conditions, conducts drug tests of offenders, refers offenders to drug treatment and other services) adult parolees and probationers and monitors individuals convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Driving Under the Influence (DUI). In addition, the Division offers and delivers victim services, collects restitution and fees from offenders; prepares pre-sentence and pre-parole investigations and numerous other reports for the Judiciary and the Maryland Parole Commission.
