Welcome to the American Probation and Parole Association’s (APPA) web-based editorial page. We are excited to offer this feature of our web site to encourage the ongoing and healthy exchange of thoughts and ideas between our members and people concerned with the community corrections field. At the end of each submitted editorial piece the reader will be able to respond with his or her own thoughts on the subject matter and/or views of the submitted editorial. We ask that your responses be short, succinct and respectful. APPA reserves the right to refuse to post any responses that are deemed inappropriate. The views expressed in editorials and responses to editorials are those of the authors and are not necessarily representative of the APPA membership or staff. We encourage you to submit your own editorial. To submit your own editorial, please email it to cwicklund@csg.org and in the subject line write “editorial.” Each submitted editorial should include the name, job title, address, and phone number of the author(s). Editorials should not exceed 1,000 words in length. APPA reserves the right to edit or refuse any submission due to length or content.
