Sarah Lewis
Dr, Grow Transform Belong Community
Dr. Sarah Lewis is the Director of Penal Reform Solutions (PRS) and Grow Transform Belong CIC, leading international efforts to transform criminal justice cultures. PRS fosters systemic change in corrections through research, training, and consultancy, while Grow Transform Belong focuses on prevention and community-based reform through the Justice 2.0 campaign. Dr. Lewis began her career in Probation in 2004, delivering psychological interventions before transitioning to academia at the University of Portsmouth, where she trained Probation Officers and taught Criminology and Criminal Psychology. A pioneer in relational correctional practice, she emphasizes humanity, connection, and co-production in justice reform. As co-founder of the Growth Alliance and Growth App, Dr. Lewis champions global systems change, centering lived experience in rehabilitative efforts. She has worked as a Senior Consultant for the Council of Europe, training leaders across the Middle East and Asia. She is the author of Therapeutic Correctional Relationships and host of the Growth Uncut podcast, amplifying voices in justice reform. She also co-created accredited online learning to enhance effective practice and staff well-being. Her work continues to shape a more humane and impactful justice system.
