Karen Peterson

Karen Peterson has built a distinguished career spanning over 30 years in the criminal justice field, with experience ranging from juvenile probation to supervising both a felony treatment program and the pretrial team for Oakland County, Michigan.
In addition to her leadership roles, she serves as a trainer and consultant with The Carey Group, delivering specialized training to criminal justice practitioners on evidence-based practices that drive measurable results.
Currently, Karen is a Solutions Engineer and consultant with FieldWare, where she partners with agencies to identify optimal solutions for success. Her work focuses on streamlining operations, enhancing productivity, and ensuring that software solutions align seamlessly with each agency’s unique needs.
Susan Rice
Customer Success Manager, Fieldware LLC
Susan Rice brings to the table 33 years of hands-on experience in both adult and juvenile probation, having served as a Line Officer and Chief Probation Officer in Indiana. Throughout her career, she has led policy reform, championed staff development, and driven operational improvements within the justice system.
As the Immediate Past President of the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA), the leading voice for community corrections, Susan has played a pivotal role in shaping national standards, advancing evidence-based practices, and promoting professional growth across the field.
In her current role leading Customer Success and Support at Fieldware, she partners with justice agencies to implement digital solutions, ensuring effective onboarding, impactful training, and long-term results that enhance agency operations and client outcomes.
