Women remain underrepresented in leadership roles across community corrections and related professions. This empowering 90-minute workshop is designed to break down those barriers with strategic insights and practical tools focused on self-advocacy, personal branding, networking, and mentorship. Participants will explore how to confidently express their value, embrace leadership opportunities, and build meaningful relationships that support professional growth. With extended time for discussion and reflection, this session includes interactive activities designed to help participants identify their strengths, expand their influence, and support each other through shared experiences. Attendees will leave with a personal roadmap for leadership and a renewed sense of purpose. Open to women at any career stage—as well as allies who want to support equity in leadership—this session fosters a stronger, more inclusive future for the community corrections profession.

Serese Selanders is a trailblazer in safety technology and a passionate advocate for frontline worker protection. As the founder and CEO of SolusGuard, a leading safety tech company, Serese has developed innovative tools that help protect lone workers—particularly those in high-risk environments like community corrections. Her mission-driven approach stems from personal experience and a deep commitment to creating practical, people-first safety solutions.
