Dr. Shan Jackson

Dr. Shan Jackson is a Global Holistic Mental Health and Wellness Specialist with a powerful story of resilience. Born in Helena, Arkansas, and raised in Flint, Michigan, her journey has shaped her commitment to advancing mental health and wellness globally. She holds dual Master’s degrees in Social Sciences and Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and a PhD focused on integrating nutrition and criminal behavior. As the CEO of "Healthy Just Feels Right" in downtown Flint, Dr. Jackson champions a personalized approach to health, emphasizing dignity and respect. She has spearheaded nutrition initiatives with organizations like the Michigan Department of Corrections ( Reconnection program), Genesee County Jail ( Mood and Food ) program, and introduced wellness programs in the Caribbean and lead nutrition specialist on the first and only app in Jamaica called TALK ABOUT IT Ltd focuses on Mental Health. Additionally, she is the author of eleven books on healthy eating and is passionate about empowering individuals to adopt healthier lifestyles through nutritious food rather than solely relying on medications.
