This presentation explains how Active Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) technology helps reduce speeding and improve road safety by preventing drivers from exceeding posted speed limits. It highlights the difference between passive warning systems and active speed-limiting systems, while demonstrating how court-ordered ISA programs can support probation supervision, reduce repeat speeding offenses, and enhance public safety. The presentation also reviews crash statistics, successful ISA pilot programs, device features, compliance reporting, and the growing adoption of ISA programs across multiple states.

Ana Cordero

Ana Cordero brings more than 18 years of expertise in guiding clients through the ignition interlock process. She currently oversees LifeSafer partnerships in the Eastern United States. Her experience with LifeSafer encompasses regulatory compliance, management of service centers, and the development of partnerships. Additionally, Ana has collaborated extensively with motor vehicle departments and judicial systems to assist offenders in successfully fulfilling their IID program requirements.

Kimberly Schreiber
Attorney, LifeSafer


Kimberly Schreiber is an attorney licensed in multiple states with more than 25 years of legal, mediation, and training experience. She is a DUI Instructor, training attorneys on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) curriculum. Ms. Schreiber has developed legal curriculum and taught at universities and law schools throughout the United States and internationally. A frequent CLE presenter, she speaks on traffic law, DUI defense, mediation, ethics, AI and emerging legal issues. Her presentations and written articles combine practical courtroom experience with real-world guidance for attorneys navigating new and evolving laws, including the new Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) law.
