Jasmine Jeffries is a dedicated leader, advocate, and community servant born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. She began her career in juvenile justice as a pre-trial officer and has since grown into her current role as a Cook County Juvenile Probation Officer in the Anti-Trafficking Unit, where she works to protect and support vulnerable youth. Jasmine currently serves as President of the African American Heritage Committee and as Event Coordinator for the College Builder HBCU Tour Committee within the Juvenile Probation Department, creating opportunities and pathways for young people. With a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University, a Master of Science in Management from Kaplan University, and a Master of Education from Ashford University. Her academic achievements reflect her passion for leadership, education, and empowerment. Jasmine is the Founder and CEO of SheroSocial LLC, a platform dedicated to uplifting and empowering women. Jasmine’s leadership and influence lead to a 2022 nomination for the Shero United: 31 SHERO Project and induction in 40 Under 40 Black Women Professional League, Inc. Guided by her personal motto, “Empowered Women Empower Women,” That same year, she joined the board of Girls Night Out, NFP, an anti-trafficking nonprofit organization.

Kisha Roberts-Tabb, Ph.D. Community Psychologist Deputy Chief Probation Officer for Cook County Juvenile Court: Anti-Trafficking Division Founder of Girls Night Out, NFP/ Roberts-Tabb & Associates, LLC The recipient of 2024 Chicago Defender Women of Excellence Award, Dr. Roberts-Tabb has created and implemented programs and has been instrumental in bringing awareness to Cook County Juvenile Court around gender responsive issues, specifically domestic human trafficking by developing and implementing mandatory trainings. As the first Human Trafficking/ Gender Responsive/LGBTQ Specialist for Cook County Juvenile Probation Department, Dr. Tabb has worked alongside every branch of government and law enforcement. Dr. Tabb has collaborated on both policy and legislation. Developing and implementing mandatory trainings and assessment tools. Dr. Tabb is proud that under her leadership, Cook County Juvenile Probation has established the first Anti-Trafficking Probation Unit in the State of Illinois. The knowledge and passion that Dr. Roberts-Tabb possesses has impacted service providers nationally sitting before the Congressional Caucus for Black Women and Girls in Washington DC and Chicago Illinois, Cook County Human Trafficking Task Force Conference, US National Guard, Impact Youth, Illinois, Contribution to the Human Trafficking Task Force Law Enforcement Report, and the Gender and Justice Symposium, just to name a few.

Samantha Taylor is a dedicated Juvenile Probation Officer with over 25 years of service, beginning her career in 2000. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1997, laying the foundation for her lifelong commitment to youth advocacy and community safety. Throughout her career, Samantha has made a significant impact in the Austin community, where she has served as a Field Officer for 25 years. In this role, she has worked directly with youth and families, providing guidance, accountability, and support to help young people navigate challenges and build better futures. In addition to her fieldwork, Samantha has served as a Social Intake Officer for 11 years, where she played a critical role in assessing cases and connecting individuals to appropriate services and interventions. Expanding her advocacy work, she has also spent the past year as an Anti-Trafficking Advocate, working to raise awareness and support efforts to combat human trafficking. Samantha’s career reflects her deep commitment to justice, rehabilitation, and empowering vulnerable populations within her community.
