Body Worn Cameras in Community Supervision

As technology becomes more frequent in daily lives as well as corrections, body worn cameras are the latest innovation to insert themselves. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, inclusive of the Adult Parole Authority, was one of the first large community correction agencies to implement body worn cameras. This session will review the Ohio Adult Parole Authority's implementation of body worn cameras and ongoing use in community corrections. Distinct advantages such as officer safety will be discussed and reviewed. This session will also make agency policy makers aware of the dynamics in utilizing body worn cameras.

Lindsay Dudas
Parole Program Specialist, OH Department of Rehabilitation and Correction


Lindsay Dudas is an Investigator with the Ohio Adult Parole Authority. He has previously experience as a Police Officer, Municipal Court Probation Officer, Parole Board Parole Officer, Field Parole Officer, and Case Analyst with the Ohio Parole Board.


Kenneth Kaufman
Probation Officer, Ohio Adult Parole Board


Kenneth Kaufman started my career as a Parole Officer in August of 1998. I was promoted to Sr officer July of 2011 and then Supervisor October of 2017. Currently I am a firearms instructor, OC instructor, and Field Tactics instructor. I cover Richland, Huron, and Morrow Counties.


Scott Scislo

Scott Scislo obtained his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2006 with a double major in Criminology and Sociology. Following graduation, Scott worked as a Probation Officer at the Summit County Juvenile Court and the Summit County Adult Probation Department for approximately 8 years. Scott has been a Parole Officer with the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for approximately 8 years. Scott was the Akron Region Parole Officer of the Year in 2020.
