Real-Time Information Sharing with the Virtual Command Center

The Virtual Command Center (VCC) is a secure, web-based situational awareness and critical incident management system. The VCC is accessible via the Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal (LEEP) and can be accessed by any internet capable device, allowing VCC users to share data and make rapid coordinated decisions from any location. With features including real-time reporting, mapping, customizable display, location tracking and a simple interface, the VCC gives users a scalable and customizable tool for incident and event management. This session will provide an overview of the VCC and show participants various ways the VCC can be customized to fit a variety of law enforcement and criminal justice agency needs.

Rachel Burney

Ms. Burney is a Liasion specialist for the Virtual Command Center Program at the Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal Justice Information Services Division. She has been with the VCC team since 2016 and with the Data Sharing Services Unit at CJIS since 2007. Prior to joining the VCC team, Ms. Burney was the Assistant Manager of the Member Services Department for the Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal. Ms. Burney received a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and Public Relations from Louisana State University. She currently resides in Washington, D.C.
