The workshop will demonstrate how to implement a transitional living facility ran by your agencies own polices, procedures and standards. This workshop will help guide participants on how to develop a transitional living facility that is managed and overseen by their agency to help their clientele to be successful upon their transition into the community on their own. Presenters will discuss the benefits and challenges of establishing an agency run transitional living facility. The overall goal of this workshop is to provide participants with the beginning steps to developing their agencies own transitional living facility that will allow them to tailor to their specific client needs.

SESSION PRESENTERS

Julie Micek
Director of Supervision & Services, NE Board of Parole/Division of Parole Supervision


Director Julie Micek is the Director of Parole (NBOP/DPS) for the State of Nebraska. She has conducted training/workshops for staff, developed programs, and delivered services in a variety of criminal justice settings including prisons and community-based agencies. Julie is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska-Omaha in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Julie holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Concordia University (River Forest, IL).


Cayla Tritle
Specialized Parole Officer, NE Board of Parole/Division of Parole Supervision


Cayla Tritle, Specialized Parole Officer: Cayla Tritle began her career with the Nebraska Division of Parole Supervision in January of 2020 while studying Criminology and Sociology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Upon graduating in August 2020 she was hired on as an Assistant Parole Officer until being promoted to a Specialized Parole Officer. Cayla currently supervises clients at the Honu House in Lincoln, Nebraska. Cayla is currently studying at Bellevue University for a Masters in Public Administration (Bellevue, NE).


TylerAnn Zoubek
Specialized Parole Officer, NE Board of Parole/Division of Parole Supervision


TylerAnn Zoubek is a Specialized Parole Officer in the Lincoln Regional Office for the Nebraska Division of Parole Supervision (NDOP). TylerAnn holds a Master’s Degree in Justice Administration and Crime Management from Bellevue University (Bellevue, NE). TylerAnn recently completed the agency’s Leadership Development Program, where she spent the last year developing the transitional living agreement for the agency’s facility. TylerAnn has completed training as a facilitator for CBI4NE1 and a training instructor for Verbal Judo.
