This course will introduce/reinforce key elements of communication, workplace evaluations, training and morale which improve management’s decisions with promotional policies. The attendee will brainstorm activities to improve communication, workplace evaluations training and morale. The responses will be compared to non-managerial primary data to generate even better social change in the workplace.

SESSION PRESENTERS

Paul Chavez, PhD
Deputy Probation Officer II/Training Manager, Los Angeles County Probation


Dr. Chavez earned a B.S in Marketing Management from Cal State University Dominguez Hills. He also earned an MPA from American Public University. Finally, Dr. Chavez earned his M. Phil and a Ph.D. in public policy and administration from Walden University in 2022. While completing these academic programs Dr. Chavez has been employed for 15 years for Los Angeles County Probation Department. While not on duty, Dr Chavez is an active runner completing 14 marathons and 53 half marathons; he has also represented the department’s Baker to Vegas running team as a volunteer and a participant. Dr. Chavez extensive background has lead him to work for such schools as Palo Verde College, California Miramar, and Westcliff Universities. Dr. Chavez has taught political science, principles of management, principles of marketing while developing a class in social media marketing. Besides teaching at the university level his instructor duties include a current assignment for the Probation Department.
