Kimberly Blount
Public Safety Training Instructor III, GA Department of Juvenile Justice Office of Training


Kimberly Blount is a Training Program Manager with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. She has worked on several projects and served as the coordinator for the Peace Officer Standards and Training Instructor Program with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice for several years. She has trained Juvenile Correctional Officers, Probation Officers and leadership personnel. She is certified as a Senior Instructor, Firearms Instructor and is a certified John Maxwell Speaker and Coach.


Hermanda DeMines
, GA Department of Juvenile Justice Office of Training


Ms. Hermanda DeMines began her career with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice in August 2016. Since then, she has served as a Juvenile Probation Specialist II and School Based Officer with the Muscogee MSC. In February 2019 she was promoted to Regional Volunteer Coordinator, with the Office of Victim and Volunteer Services. On December 1, 2021, Ms. DeMines was promoted to her current role as the Operations Support Manager for the Division of Community Services Division. Hermanda earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a Master of Science in Justice and Global & Homeland Security. Ms. DeMines is a Certified Georgia Senior POST Instructor, Master Resiliency Instructor and Peer Support Counselor. Being heavily involved in the community, connecting with others, and indulging in creativity is what attracted Hermanda DeMines to roles that connect with children, adults, and community agencies.


Kendra Staley
Public Safety Training Instructor I, GA Department of Juvenile Justice Office of Training


Kendra Staley began her career with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice in 2007 as a Cadet for Georgia’s 120-bed Regional Mental Health Campus, at the Augusta Youth Development Center. With a small break in service, she would reunite with the agency again as a Cadet in 2008 at the Augusta Regional Development Center, where she would advance her career by becoming a Sergeant in 2010, Shift Lieutenant in 2012, and a Lieutenant Trainer in 2013. In 2014 she transitioned into her current role at the Office of Professional Development as a Public Safety Trainer-1 where she has trained hundreds of facility and community staff. Kendra also, broaden her training skills by providing training to privatized non-profit agencies like Taking a Step Beyond. Through her unique training style, Kendra Staley has been able to successfully teach students of all ages, demographics, and ethnicities by creating a safe environment and enjoyable experience in education. Kendra has earned her Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working on a Bachelor of Business in Administration with a concentration in Health Services Administration at Strayer University. She is a Certified Georgia Senior Instructor, Master Resiliency Instructor, First Aid, and Mental Health Instructor and is a member of the Georgia Association of Women in Public Safety.
