Come Inside and Experience the Change; Cognitive Behavioral Program Transition to Internal Facilitation

Organizations can struggle with the dynamics of shifting from outside cognitive behavioral group referrals to providing these groups internally. Training employees to facilitate the groups within the organization and the fidelity of the program takes commitment and dedication. This workshop will discuss the steps Yavapai County Adult Probation took in transitioning to internal facilitation along with the Quality Assistance piece to ensure program fidelity. Participants will learn how we utilize the graduates of the program as peer mentors and the data results that continue to support the success of the program.

SESSION PRESENTERS

Jann Barrett
Program Coordinator, Yavapai County Adult Probation


Jann Barrett is the Program Coordinator for Yavapai County Adult Probation. She has been with Adult Probation for the past 18 years. She has worked with Indirect Service Clients, Presentence and Absconder Apprehension. She transitioned from the Treatment Coordinator to the Program Coordinator with in the past few months. Her new role allows Yavapai County to assist with coordinating release plans for incarcerated probationers to treatment and other services for better outcomes. She is the current MRT Coordinator for Adult Probation and responsible for screening participants for the program and providing quality assurance to maintain the fidelity of our program.


Kathy Ryder
Adult Probation Officer Supervisor, Yavapai County Adult Probation


Kathy Ryder has worked with Yavapai County Adult Probation for over 20 years. Her experience covers areas of supervision. Her passion is Specialty Courts and programs. She currently supervises the coordinators for Drug, DUI, Family Treatment and Mental Health Courts. She recently implemented the Reach Out Coordination with the jail. She is involved with the Yavapai County Mental Health Coalition and is working closely with the county jail and behavioral health partners to implement a successful medically assisted treatment program into the Drug Court. She has supervised and coordinated the MRT program in Yavapai County for over 10 years.
