Results-Driven Coaching is the community corrections professionals’ guide to constructing an alliance between data and coaching to improve outcomes across six targeted supervision practices, and three strategies to achieve next-level results. This workshop invites the audience into the examination room with supervision agency leaders from quality control and the training unit as they share the impact of their partnership upon outcomes across supervision practices. Missouri Probation and Parole invites attendees to consider a results-based approach to develop evidence-based practices in their respective agencies, communities, and throughout the country.

SESSION PRESENTERS

Kim Mills
Regional Training Coordinator Unit Manager, MO Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole


Kim Mills has worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections for over 27 years all within the Division of Probation and Parole. She has held the position of Probation and Parole Officer, Unit Supervisor, and currently is the Regional Training Coordinator Unit Manager for the six regions in the state of Missouri. During her tenure, Kim has supervised a variety of caseloads, was involved in building treatment courts from the ground up in two counties, partnered with the University of Central Missouri Department of Health Studies to bring free and effective resiliency programs to frontline staff which has remained intact, and created a re-entry program in two counties collaborating with multiple entities to bring no-cost counseling and other resources to parolees. She holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in research and design and worked as a college instructor of Psychology for over ten years. She is also a trainer within the Department on various topics to include Effective Case Management and Planning, the Violation Process, and supervisory coaching training. She provides ongoing support, training, and coaching to front-line staff and management staff to help move the Department to be an evidence-based practice organization and achieve better outcomes.


Chantelle Smith
Quality Control Manager, MO Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole


Chantelle Smith has worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections for over 24 years all within the Division of Probation and Parole. She has held the position of Probation and Parole Officer, Unit Supervisor, Quality Control Coordinator and currently serves as a Quality Control Manager. During her tenure, Chantelle has supervised a variety of caseloads and been involved in several initiatives, to include the development and implementation of the Missouri Offender Management Matrix (MOMM), the current Case Management model, and the Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS) Automation for the Department. She holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and is a trainer within the Department on various topics to include Effective Case Management and Planning and the Violation Process. She provides ongoing support to line staff and management throughout Missouri to enhance the quality of our client supervision and increase successful outcomes.
