SESSION INFO

Tuesday, August 29, 2023
8:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Session Type: Workshop

The National Institute of Corrections in collaboration with Justice System Partners, redesigned the existing NIC Probation and Parole Executive Orientation training curriculum so that it delivers the most up-to-date material needed to assist community supervision leaders in developing organizations that can effectively implement evidence-based interventions. The cross-management training is a 9-month learning experience delivered through a blended model of live virtual and interactive sessions, guided self-learning, and in-person networking designed to help leaders grow in their current positions. This learning experience will help leaders identify innovative strategies to lead their teams and provide opportunities to share, discuss, and implement practices that produce better outcomes, support behavior change, and create an environment where everyone can do their best work. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to experience specific curriculum training activities to understand how they can apply the concepts to their practice and within their organization.
