In this workshop, we will explore how to leverage technology to connect people to local and meaningful resources as they transition from incarceration back into society. The focus will be on reducing officer workloads, and accessing local resources and connections to help justice-involved individuals assimilate easily to reduce recidivism and build safe communities. Explore ways for JII’s to have consistent access to resources received while incarcerated while on the outside including continuation of healthcare and mental healthcare, continuing education or trade skills, job retainment, language acquisition, and access to local food, housing, and transportation resources.
