Not Just Second Chance but Better Chance Hiring

SESSION INFO

Wednesday, February 2, 2022
9:45 AM - 10:45 AM
Session Type: Workshop

We are called Safe Staffing because we make it safer to hiring Returning Citizens (aka formerly incarcerated individuals). In fact, we provide better second chances with reentry supportive services such as (reentry employment (www.safestaffinginc.com), housing (www.vitalsignsreentryministry.org), transportation (www.uplifts.org), and life coaching). We are passionate about empowering people to cultivate fulfilling careers while helping companies succeed. Second chance hiring is a great opportunity for both employer and employee growth. When companies consider all qualified candidates, even those with a criminal record, they grow stronger and more diverse because of it. Second chance hiring is not a hand-out or preferential treatment but a hand-up for those convicted of a crime. It’s simply a fair shot and equal treatment for all qualified applicants. This workshop will: •aid law enforcement with better second chance resource referral options •aid employers who are looking for a safe pathway to becoming a second chance employer •aid reentry providers on how to partner a good staffing agency that also provide wrap-around services for their participants •aid returning citizens (aka formerly incarcerated individuals) on how to find and obtain second chance employment
