"After experiencing the last two institutes virtually, I was not sure what to expect. Well, the in-person event exceeded my expectations, and I cannot wait to see more – I will now join and become a member!"

Already Know You Can't Make it to Atlanta?

Although hundreds of community corrections professionals will join us in beautiful Atlanta, GA, APPA recognizes that travel is still difficult for many during these uncertain times. As such, our goal is to be THE supplemental educational resource for your agency, not just for those who can travel. For that reason, APPA is proudly hosting this Training Institute as a hybrid event. So, those unable to join us in-person can purchase a virtual ticket to cost-effective training from your home or office.

As a reminder, you get the benefit of livestreamed sessions, on-demand workshops, and webinar recordings.

ADDRESSING CANCELLATIONS DUE TO PANDEMIC

There are valid reasons individuals cannot attend the training institute after registering, especially during this pandemic. Unfortunately, APPA must hold firm to the no-refund policy cut-off date because of its contractual obligations to meeting facilities for sleeping rooms, food and beverage, meeting space, equipment, etc. With reduced numbers, APPA will pay a substantial financial penalty for all contractual commitments not meet. And because of the pandemic and tremendous loss of revenue, facilities are under remarkable economic pressures and are not willing to reduce contractual requirements.

Albeit, APPA understands the difficulties resulting from this worldwide plague. We also value our members and stakeholders. In an attempt to find a win-win solution during this unconventional time, if an individual is unable to attend the upcoming training institute regardless of the reason, APPA will provide one of the following remedies: (1) transfer registration fee to winter 2022 virtual training institute (three individuals may attend), and/or (2) receive credit toward registration for a future in-person training institute (to be used by first quarter 2023).

Thanks for your ongoing support of the association, and more importantly, for your belief in professional development and networking. To discuss options, please contact Kimberly Mills.
