A Family-Support Model for Community Supervision of Reentering Offenders

The following recorded audio teleconferences/webcasts were conducted by APPA and Family Justice, with funding from the Bureau of Justice Assistance. Each broadcast explores aspects of the Family Support Approach for Community Corrections. The first broadcast, Family-Support Approach for Community Corrections, gives managers and decision makers an overview of what is needed to adapt this approach into existing community supervision practice. The second broadcast, Engaging Families in Community Supervision Practices: An Evidence-Based Approach to Public Safety, provides community supervision officers an overview of the core components of the Family Support Approach for Community Corrections and tips for how to incorporate the Approach into their supervision practices.
