As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we are incredibly grateful for the generous support of everyone involved in this yearlong golden celebration. Your commitment to APPA’s mission has been crucial in helping us achieve this remarkable milestone – you are a vital part of the APPA family!
Join Us in Transforming Lives and Communities
For 50 years, the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) has been committed to positively transforming lives and serving as a vital partner with community supervision agencies across the nation. The association has served as a pillar of support, advocacy, and progress for those involved in and affected by community supervision.
APPA, a not-for-profit (501c3) organization, is the leading professional membership organization for probation and parole professionals. It is dedicated to uplifting the 90,000 professionals across the country who guide individuals on their journey from incarceration to reintegration. With the right resources, many of the 1.9 million incarcerated individuals in America can return to their communities to lead productive, law-abiding lives. Community supervision officers play a crucial role in this process, helping individuals reconnect with work, education, and society while ensuring accountability. Promoting second chances fosters safer, healthier communities.
In 2025, APPA is celebrating its 50-year milestone! As we commemorate this occasion, we invite you to join us in this mission. Now is the time to enhance our impact and raise the visibility and significance of community supervision. We must remain at the forefront of advancing efforts that promote safer, healthier communities. This aspect of the legal system is important not only to those working in the field, but to every citizen in our country, as it impacts every community. Today, we invite you to be part of the solution by helping to provide funds that enhance the training and technical assistance offerings in the field.

Your support helps us:
- Equip officers with the tools and knowledge they need to foster change,
- Develop innovative practices that improve outcomes, and
- Ultimately, create stronger, safer communities for everyone.
Every contribution brings us closer to a justice system that values rehabilitation, accountability, and human potential. Be part of the solution. Help us ensure the next 50 years are even more transformative for both youth and adults.
Better training. Better outcomes. Better communities.
