Presenter

Richard Cabral

Richard Cabral is an Emmy-nominated actor, producer, and writer. A Homeboy Industries alumnus, Richard has dedicated his life to giving back to his community of East Los Angeles. As Richard stated, “Imprisoned at the age of 13, I spent years behind bars until I met Father Greg when I was 25 years old. Love is what Father G showed me. He showed me that I was not my worst mistake. That I was more. I have continued my commitment to Homeboy Industries after all these years for one simple fact: I am a homeboy.” Richard is best known for his iconic role in the Golden Globe nominated crime drama American Crime. He has received rave reviews for his performance and has since starred in series such as Fox’s Lethal Weapon and the ongoing Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans M.C. Richard’s intense disposition and on-screen presence has earned him parts in many Hollywood projects since the turn of the decade. His sensitive and authentic performances help bring complexity and three-dimensionality to some tough characters. Richard has been widely praised for his inspirational life story and for battling a rough and violent life to become a symbol of Latino resilience.
