Some things New Orleans is famous for are: Creole and Cajun cuisine, jazz music brass bands, historic architecture, and Mardi Gras – the French term for 'Fat Tuesday' which means fun and parties for all – lasting from January 6 until February 13. That’s right you will experience a little bit of the Mardi Gras season during the training institute! What a wonderful time to learn and grow and have a great experience than during APPA’s regional training institute in NOLA!!!
When you are on break from the robust training offering, take part in APPA’s New Orleans Photo Scavenger Hunt to compete for prizes as you explore:
How: Take a photo at various locations listed above and around the city and post photos of activities to the QR Code (sign located at the APPA training institute registration desk).
**Alternative Scavenger Hunt lists are available upon request.
For more information, see a volunteer at the registration desk or host welcome table.

Join us for a few hours as we learn and discover The New Orleans Day Reporting Center’s mission, vision, and values! Additional Information may be requested onsite at the local hosts’ table.
APPA’s no refund policy cut-off date is January 2, 2023. While there are valid reasons an individual cannot attend the training institute after registering, especially during the pandemic, unfortunately, the association must hold firm to this policy. APPA is bound by contractual obligations to the meeting venue to cover costs and/or penalties.
APPA values all members and stakeholders. If an individual is unable to attend the in-person training institute, regardless of the reason, APPA will transfer (substitute) registration to another individual from the same agency. Written requests must be sent to Kimberly Mills.
Thanks for your ongoing support of the association, and more importantly, for your belief in professional development and networking.
