Presenters: Robert Ambroselli - Director of Product, Enterprise Supervision, Tyler Technologies, Inc.
Lorelei Judd - Senior Product Manager, Enterprise Supervision, Tyler Technologies, Inc.
Jack Martin - Client Executive, Tyler Technologies, Inc.
Description: Officers didn’t sign up to spend their day buried in administrative work, but that’s where too much of their time goes today. Between disconnected systems, manual processes, and growing caseloads, community supervision professionals are facing increasing stress, burnout, and competing demands on their time.
Join us for a practical conversation grounded in real-world probation and parole experience as we examine where time is being lost in supervision workflows, and what agencies are doing to address it. This session will explore how more integrated approaches to case management, mobile tools, and connections with courts, treatment providers, and monitoring tools are helping reduce administrative burden, eliminate duplicate work, and improve day-to-day efficiency.
We’ll also look ahead at what’s emerging, including AI-driven capabilities designed to support everyday tasks such as documentation, reporting, and case insights, while maintaining professional judgment and accountability.
The focus is simple: giving officers time back to do the work that matters most.
Objectives
1. Identify the primary drivers of officer burnout in community supervision. Recognize how administrative workload, high caseloads, and disconnected systems contribute to inefficiencies, stress, and reduced time for meaningful client engagement.
2. Evaluate how integrated supervision approaches improve efficiency. Understand how connecting case management, electronic monitoring, and partner systems can reduce duplicate work, streamline workflows, and improve visibility across cases.
3. Apply practical and emerging strategies to reduce workload and support decision-making.
4. Explore how tools such as mobile workflows, automation, and AI-assisted capabilities can streamline documentation, reporting, and case insights — while maintaining professional judgment and accountability.

Presenters: Karen Peterson - Account Executive, FieldWare
Susan Rice - Senior Customer Success Manager, FieldWare
Description: Community supervision agencies are facing difficulties of growing caseloads with reduced budgets and increased public expectations...meanwhile, technology is moving faster than most agencies can follow.
This is going to be a practical conversation about what's actually working in community supervision right now, and what APPA Standards require when agencies modernize. We'll cover the current state of tech adoption in government, the real gap between public and private sector innovation, and the compliance landscape agencies have to navigate today.
We will share real case studies: Agencies that dropped failure-to-appear rates from 40% to 15%; Officers who went from paper notes to 10,000+ field updates a month; Supervisors who finally got real-time visibility into their workforce...documented results from real agencies.
We'll also look at what's coming next in technology and what that means for supervision going forward.
The goal is to help agency leaders see where technology actually moves the needle, where APPA Standards give you room to innovate, and how to make progress without compromising compliance, privacy, or the officer-client relationship.
What You'll Learn:
- How technology adoption looks across community supervision right now, and why the government tech lag creates both obstacles and openings for agencies trying to modernize
- How to use APPA Standards as a modernization framework, including how Standards 6.1, 7.2, and 9.1 translate into practical requirements for risk assessment tools, caseload management platforms, and remote reporting
- What's working in the field right now. We'll walk through documented case studies in automated notifications, mobile field tools, workforce scheduling, and risk-based supervision, and break down what made each one successful

Attendees will gain practical strategies to recognize and respond to these reactions, helping to build trust, stability, and resilience within their teams.
In addition, the session explores the stages of team development and how to move from the initial stages of forming to high-performing. We’ll offer actionable techniques to assess where you are and accelerate progress while maintaining morale and engagement. Presenters: Dr. Thomas Sexton - CEO and Model Developer, Functional Family Therapy
Catie Boatwright Borde - Director of Clinical Training Services/Senior Clinical Consultant, FFT Partners, LLC
Description: Justice-involved young adults (ages 18–26) represent a high-need population with elevated rates of recidivism, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Traditional supervision and intervention models often emphasize individual accountability, overlooking the critical role that family and relational systems play in long-term success.
Functional Family Therapy-Adult (FFT-A) is an evidence-based, family-centered model designed to address these gaps. By engaging a broader definition of “family”—including biological relatives, partners, and prosocial supports—FFT-A helps build a stable foundation for behavior change, autonomy, and successful community reintegration.
This webinar will introduce the FFT-A model and its structured phases of engagement, behavior change, and generalization. Participants will learn how integrating family-based approaches with supervision, case management, and life skills development can reduce criminogenic risk factors, improve compliance, and support sustainable outcomes.
Attendees will gain practical strategies to enhance engagement and improve outcomes with justice-involved young adults in community corrections settings.
