There is also a great deal of public concern regarding juvenile sex offenders. This concern has led to the enactment of several changes to how our criminal justice system deals with sex offenders. Over the past few years the specialized knowledge base utilized to supervise and treat sex offenders has expanded tremendously. The emergence of evidence- based practice methodologies has given the field new validated tools and skills to employ.

The goal of this training is to provide baseline information needed to supervise juvenile sex offenders in the community. The training will provide participants with information about juvenile sex offenders, strategies for community supervision, and tools to assist in assessment, planning, treatment, and monitoring.
