Project Safe Neighborhoods National Training and Technical Assistance Program
Contracting Agency: Bureau of Justice Assistance

Since 2004, the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) and Community Corrections Institute (CCI) have provided numerous Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN)-related trainings, technical assistance, workshops, periodicals, reports, and publications to the APPA constituency. Specifically, APPA and CCI have provided training/technical assistance (T/TA) to more than 3,600 community corrections officers in conjunction with the PSN anti-gun and -gang initiative through funding support provided by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). APPA and CCI are committed to the continual provision of T/TA based on the needs and request of United States Attorney Office (USAO) districts and probation/parole agencies. Needs may include assistance with improving community-based corrections programs, electronic supervision, inter-agency information sharing and collaboration with law enforcement.

Agencies interested in receiving training or technical assistance support must submit a request through their USAO to BJA using the PSN Request form. A list of PSN T/TA Providers is also available.

Visit APPA’s PSN-dedicated website for more information.

See flyer for a list of available trainings from the CCI.
