Onsite Training

Safe Office Design and Procedures
Presenter: Community Corrections Institute

In the post 9/11 environment we have all increased our awareness of safety related hazards in our workplace. Yet, statistics show that terrorism is not the greatest threat. We are most likely to incur violence and attacks from our everyday clientele. This 2-day program provides information and ideas, appropriate for any public agency, on how to maximize workplace safety. From office design to safety procedures, we examine how to increase safety while keeping costs down. Whether new construction or modification of existing space, this program provides procedures, guidelines, and current devices that will enhance safety in the work environment.

By the end of Safe Office Design and Procedures, participants will be able to:

  • Develop policies and procedures to enhance staff safety
  • Plan and conduct their own in-house safety “audit”
  • Create aesthetically pleasing, yet effective, access controls
  • Establish effective emergency response procedures

This training is appropriate for other allied professional agencies (Mental health, Social Services, etc)

(2 day training: 50 - 100 participants)
