Understanding and Implementing Effective Offender Supervision Practices and Programming
Contracting Agency: Bureau of Justice Assistance

The goal of this project was to increase the availability of training and information on understanding and implementing effective offender supervision practices and programming to probation and parole professionals, especially those working in rural areas. Recognizing that officers in rural agencies often do not have access to traditional training events, this project offered training through distance learning methodologies. Eleven audio teleconferences, seven audio teleconferences/webcasts, and one web-based curriculum were developed and delivered.
