Reentry in American Indian Nations & Alaskan Native Villages
Contracting Agency: Bureau of Justice Assistance

Challenges related to jurisdictional divides, lack of information sharing and communication between facilities and communities impedes victim safety and hampers a Nation/Village in planning for reentry services for reentrants, families, and victims. Nations/Villages must be equipped with tools and resources to develop realistic, evidence-based reentry strategies designed to culturally meet the needs of their people. The goal of this project is to work alongside the Nations/Villages as they plan, develop, and/or enhance their community based reentry strategies by providing training, technical assistance, peer-to-peer information sharing, and virtual resources.
